The Madison County Board of Supervisors held a closed session meeting. The Madison Report footage is for the open part of the meeting prior to going into closed session. No one in attendance objected to the meeting being closed. The county conducts closed meetings at times to handle issues for which Iowa Code allows. The agenda for the meeting stated: POSSIBLE CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE SECTION Iowa Code section 21.5(1)(i) – To evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session.
